Turkey’s Milk Exports Milk production in Turkey increased by 3.8% in 2019 compared to the previous year and amounted to approximately 23 million tons. Although the number of animals milked in Turkey shows a regular increase every year, it increased by 4.6% compared to the previous year and reached 31.9 million heads in 2019.

The amount of drinking milk production in Turkey was 1.61 million tons in 2020 with a 5.1% decrease compared to the previous year. In 2020, the total supply increased by 5.1% compared to the previous year and amounted to 1,61 million tons. Milk export (milk and cream subject to foreign trade) in Turkey decreased by 31.1% in 2020 compared to the previous year and was calculated as 26 thousand tons.
