Turkey’s exports reached 22 billion 612 million dollars in September

Temporary foreign trade data for September, created in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade, were announced.

Accordingly, within the scope of the General Trade System (GTS), exports increased by 9.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 22 billion 612 million dollars, and imports increased by 38.1 percent to 32 billion 208 million dollars.

Foreign trade deficit increased by 268.1 percent in September compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 9 billion 595 million dollars.

The ratio of exports to imports decreased from 88.8 percent in September 2021 to 70.2 percent last month.

In the January-September period, exports increased by 17 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 188 billion 152 million dollars, while imports increased by 40.4 percent to 271 billion 249 million dollars.

In the January-September period, the foreign trade deficit increased by 156.3 percent to 83 billion 97 million dollars.

While the ratio of exports to imports was 83.2 percent in the January-September 2021 period, it decreased to 69.4 percent in the same period of this year.

Exports, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, increased by 4.4 percent in September from 19 billion 901 million dollars to 20 billion 779 million dollars.

In September, imports, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, increased by 10.9 percent from 18 billion 571 million dollars to 20 billion 602 million dollars.

Foreign trade surplus, excluding energy products and non-monetary gold, amounted to 177 million dollars in September.

Foreign trade volume increased by 7.6 percent to 41 billion 381 million dollars. In the said month, the ratio of exports to imports excluding energy and gold was recorded as 100.9 percent.
