Construction materials do not slow down in exports The January-November exports of the Turkish construction materials industry increased by 46.82 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 28.7 billion dollars.
During the period in question, the highest export was made to the United Kingdom with 1.8 billion dollars. Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association (IDDMIB) Board Member and Turkish Construction Materials Sector Committee Chairman Serdar Urfalılar said, “As the Turkish construction materials sector, we entered the last month of the year with extremely high export figures. Our goal is to close this year at the best level and focus on new targets in the new year.” The exports of the sector, which focuses on production and employment, increased by 46.82 percent in the January-November period compared to the same period of the previous year and was calculated as 28.7 billion dollars. In the same period, the product group with the highest increase in value was the iron and steel-based product group with 64.64 percent. In the first eleven months of the year, the most exported country was the United Kingdom with 1.8 billion dollars. Israel and Germany followed, respectively.
