
Turkey closed the month of July with a new record. The Turkish exporter achieved the highest level of July exports of all time with 18.6 billion dollars of exports in July, an increase of 13.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), with the participation of Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, announced the foreign trade data for July to the public at a press conference held at the Konya Chamber of Commerce. The Turkish exporter, who achieved a historical performance in exports in the first 6 months of the year and broke the record in monthly exports, did not break the series in July. According to the announced data, exports in July increased by 13.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and became 18.6 billion dollars. Thus, the highest July export figure of all time was reached. With the month of July, the monthly export record was broken in 21 of the last 23 months. Exporting 144 billion dollars in the first 7 months of the year, the Turkish exporter succeeded in exceeding 248 billion dollars in exports in the last 12 months.
144.4 billion dollars export in 7 months
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş stated that Turkey continued the success it achieved in exports in 2021 in 7 months of 2022, and said: “Turkey has achieved the highest monthly export value in the 7th month, as it did in the first 6 months of 2022. He continued his streak of records by making 7 out of 7. In the first 7 months of the year, Turkey exported 144.4 billion dollars in total. In July, our foreign trade volume increased by 28.7 percent compared to the previous year and reached 47.7 billion dollars. This value is the highest export figure for the month of July ever measured. Our imports in July amounted to 29.1 billion dollars.
