UİB’s exports exceeded 3 billion dollars
Uludag Exporters’ Association (UIB) achieved more than $3 billion in exports last month. The export amount of UİB, which was 3 billion 33 million 421 thousand dollars in November, was 32 billion 114 million 226 thousand dollars in the 12-month period. The exports of the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association, which is within the body of the organization, reached 2 billion 478 million dollars with an increase of 15 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Uludag Fruit and Vegetable Products Exporters’ Association recorded an export of 34 million 759 thousand dollars with an increase of 65 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and Uludag Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Exporters’ Association recorded an export of 10 million 784 thousand dollars with an increase of 33 percent. The exports of the sectors listed under the “Other” heading, for which exports are registered through UİB, were announced as 330 million 563 thousand dollars in November. UIB Coordinator President Baran Çelik stated that while preparing to leave 2022 behind, exporting companies that have difficulty in competition due to the problems experienced on a global basis continue to produce and export despite everything, “Even though the indicators show that 2023 will be a difficult year, we will continue on our way in line with our goals as members of the union. I would like to thank all our manufacturers and exporters for their performance in November.”
